Birth Your Way

What a Doula Is (and Isn’t)

A birth doula offers dedicated, continuous support throughout labor that is physical, emotional, and energetic. Doulas are not medical professionals and do not make medical decisions. Doulas do, however, support your autonomy, your intuition, your right to informed consent, and your vision for this incredible rite of passage.

Our mission is to walk beside you, offering steadiness, compassion, and tools to help you have the loving and empowered birth you deserve.

What a Birth Doula Does

As your birth doula, I provide continuous emotional, physical, informational, and energetic support throughout your pregnancy, labor, and birth. This may include:

  • Massage, acupressure, and hands-on comfort measures

  • Relaxation, breathing, and visualization techniques

  • Positioning suggestions to encourage labor progression and ease

  • Emotional support, reassurance, and a grounded, calming presence

  • Partner support to help them feel confident and involved

  • Assistance with early breastfeeding and bonding

There are no additional fees for longer labors. Your birth unfolds in its own time, and I remain with you through all of it.

Your Sacred Roots Doula Package Includes

  • Two prenatal visits to prepare you for your birth journey

  • Continuous labor and birth support

  • Email, phone, and text support throughout pregnancy

  • One postpartum visit to process your birth story, support breastfeeding, and check in on your wellbeing

Every Family Deserves This Support

Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural birth, a homebirth, or a cesarean—every family benefits from the presence of a doula. Doula-supported births are associated with shorter labors, fewer complications, improved outcomes, and smoother breastfeeding initiation.

Above all, you deserve to feel supported, respected, and held as you welcome your newest family member.
